Fractional Operations & Implementation Support

When the business needs more capacity than the team has.

Through Infinite Horizon Consulting, I provide fractional and project-based operations support for founders, experts, and growing businesses that need experienced strategic and implementation capacity—without necessarily hiring a full-time operations leader.

Who it's for

When the business has outgrown how it runs.

Most of the time, the problem isn't effort. It's that the operation grew around one person's memory, a set of tools that were never connected, and processes that work only because someone keeps them working.

You may not need a full-time COO. You may need someone who can come in, understand how the business actually works, build the structure it's missing, and stay close enough to make sure it works in practice.

  • The founder is the bottleneck for decisions that shouldn't need them
  • Important knowledge lives in one person's head
  • Tools, documents, and information are scattered
  • Initiatives start but stall before they're finished
  • Growth is adding complexity faster than structure
  • You know something is off but can't yet name it

What support can include

Strategy and implementation, in the same pair of hands.

  • Strategic operations

Clarify priorities, decision structures, and how the work should actually flow—grounded in how the business runs today.

  • Operational architecture

Map processes, dependencies, and gaps, then design the operating structure that makes the business less founder-dependent.

  • Systems & process design

Workflows, SOPs, information systems, and repeatable processes built to be used—not filed away.

  • Research & synthesis

Turn scattered data, documents, and operating knowledge into clear insight and decisions.

  • Documentation

Capture how things work so knowledge lives on paper and can be maintained beyond one person.

  • Project & initiative support

Plan, organize, and move specific initiatives from “we should do this” to “this is built.”

How I work

Turning ambiguity into structure.

I work independently and largely behind the scenes. I go deep into the material, identify the patterns, gaps, and bottlenecks, and come back with something built—documented, structured, and ready to use. You don't have to manage me through the hard parts.

  1. 01Understand how the business actually works
  2. 02Find the patterns, gaps, and bottlenecks
  3. 03Design the missing structure
  4. 04Build and document it
  5. 05Stay close to implementation

See this in practice in the selected work, including operational transformation and founder-led operational architecture, or read the throughline behind it.

Ways to engage

Flexible by design.

Fractional operations is one way to work with me—not a title I wear. Engagements are shaped around what the business needs:

01

Project-based

A defined operational problem, system, or initiative with a clear scope.

02

Fractional capacity

Ongoing strategic and operational support on a part-time basis, working remotely alongside you.

03

Implementation support

Hands-on help turning an existing plan or strategy into working systems.

Some clients come to this work looking for fractional COO support. The emphasis here is on operational architecture and implementation rather than a traditional executive role. Operations work sits alongside the other ways I work with clients—see what I do.
